Come celebrate with us! We at Johnson’s Backyard Garden have just completed our Spring planting and are ready to take a break and throw down for some fun before the warm weather and summer harvests begin! The purpose of our Spring Harvest Festival event is to support the greater farm community in Central TX. All proceeds go to support organizations that help grow aspiring organic farmers. This Spring 2019 beneficiaries include Farm Share Austin, PEAS and Texas Young Farmers Coalition. These awesome organizations will be hosting booths at the event so you can learn more about their mission and programs.

DANCING - Terry and the Zydeco Bad Boys will be making us move with some hot tunes. We are bringing this band specially for this event from Lafayette, Louisiana...so don’t forget your dancing boots!

FOOD - We will have plates of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo made by yours truly-- Farmer Brenton Johnson (who knew he was a cook?) with farm fresh sausage, a Crawfish Boil, and open grill operated by our grill masters...bring your meat and we will prepare for you. Also feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share at our CSA member potluck.

FARM TOURS - Get out and see our beautiful 200 acres of Organic Vegetable Fields. We will have walking maps for self guided tours.

KIDS - Bring ‘em! and admission is free for kids under 12. We hope to inspire the next generation of farmers. We will have multiple kid friendly activities including a scavenger hunt, crafts and a gigantic sand pile, trampoline, and jungle gym.

FARMERS MARKET - We’ll have a market booth setup for you to get your grocery shopping done while at the farm. CSA Members: If you’d like to scoop up your CSA share on Saturday, please email Casey to change your pickup location.

TICKETS - Only $10 for adults and kids under 12 get in free. All proceeds go to Farm Share Austin, PEAS and Texas Young Farmers Coalition!.... After we pay for the band and expenses, not a dime goes to Johnson’s Backyard Garden. We want to share all proceeds with other Farm Organizations in Central TX.

Please buy your ticket in advance and let us know who's coming. Tickets are transferable, but not refundable. All adults must have purchased a ticket to enter. Tickets are available at the door. No dogs, please.

Your friends and family! Consider bringing a dish or dessert to share at our CSA Member Potuck. This event is BYOB & BYO lawn chairs + picnic blankets.

What should I not Bring?
Please leave all four-legged friends at home.
